I am so happy to run across your video. I accidentally scrap a wall, and your tutorial was a live saver, I'm a 56 yr. single woman doing repairs around my house, my sons were busy, so I did it myself, and I was able to go to home depot and do a color match for $3 ( if you bring them a quarter size , they can match any color, cost me almost $10 for everything, I'm going to put a second coat today, and paint it tomorrow. THANK YOU !! THANK YOU !!!

Would I use the same method for a concrete foundation wall? I had a foundation pro check the hairline crack and he told me to paint it but I found out if I use a sealant, it will keep water out. I live in the floodplains so keeping water out is very important to me
@howtopaintinfo2 жыл бұрын
You could use the same method but you will still need to paint after. There is a product called brushable bitumen, its a membrane that will stop the water, its often used for painting inside of guttering and rain water tanks to stop leaks. Don't forget to Like, Share and Subscribe.

Always been told to open the crack before filling. 🤔 will try this.
@howtopaintinfo4 ай бұрын
Yes on old plaster you should open the crack a bit mainly to get rid of all the loose plaster etc. This is cement render and its a lot harder, it generally gets hair line cracks which can be filled as in video. Don't forget to Like, Share & Subscribe

Good Day Can this method be used to fill hairline cracks in Garage concrete floors? I plan on painting my my floor with rustoleum epoxy floor paint. Do you think that will fill in hairline cracks. Thanks
@howtopaintinfo4 жыл бұрын
Epoxy paints can vary in viscosity so depends on the paint it might fill some of the hair line cracks. You could always apply one coat and fill what ever cracks are remaining or decided which cracks will fill with a second coat and fill the ones you know paint won't fill.
