I'm sorry for all your troubles I suppose it is some of my fault with the lack of zooming and specific details with regards. I'm glad you figured it out! I'll try to update the video with information regarding the problems you experienced

the wire in the video is indeed the "pulse generator". First before going any further trace the line out of the case cover and follow it about 12 inches where you will find a clip. make sure the clip did not get unplugged when changing covers. If still you are incapable of starting. Remove the cover again and check for proper installment and orientation of the sensor. Make sure it wasn't covered with the honda bond during installation as well. Also check for wire damage

I'm glad I could help out! I'm sorry for the lack of specifics this was 1 of my first videos. to answer your question, yes you most certainly have to drain the oil before attempting otherwise there will be quite a mess. feel free to ask any questions I'll be more than happy to help you out.

Fitting a new alternator cover the reduction gear is out of place so the dowel won't align back with it but I can't move it by hand needs to be moved forward but don't know how to please help me if you can HONDA CBR 600F (1996)
@enasoii13 жыл бұрын
It is possible to splice the wire if you know how, otherwise i would recommend replacement. A new pulse generator will run about $35.00 i have performed this procedure multiple times on multiple bikes and have never ran into that problem. Let me know how you make out

Would it be easier to put the honda bond on the engine instead of the case so it wont be so messy?
@Mickey_Bauer10 жыл бұрын
Awesome, thank you for the video! Did you use Hondabond HT or the cheaper Hondabond 4? Thanks!

the cover seems to not line up due to the pin that holds the wave and trust washers. the pin does not slide smoothly into case hole any ideas on how to fix this

Possible blown fuse. The damaged wire could have possibly blown a fuse. Did you check all the fuses after replacement? Also double check the wires in the clip have proper connections. let me now

that side is leaking oil from my cbr and I thought it was from the clutch lever assembly but I see you just slide that out and it got me confused! isn't there any type of O-rings or do you think it could be the gasket ?
@enasoii10 жыл бұрын
No orings and no gasket. Honda uses Honda bond in place of a gasket. There is an o ring on the inspection cover though
@chiptrimble7 жыл бұрын
Doing this on my sons cbr1000 today. (I sure hope you are still getting messages from this KZbin video!) I was just going to use the gasket instead of the HT mentioned. is there something I need to know? IS the gasket inferior?
@enasoii7 жыл бұрын
Chip Trimble no you're fine using the HT it works well
@enasoii7 жыл бұрын
Chip Trimble there should not be a gasket used! Rather only the Honda bond. The tolerances are very tight and Honda doesn't use a synthetic or cork gasket. They only use the Honda bond to seal the pieces together. It is much more reliable. Do NOT use an aftermarket gasket if you have found one. You must use the Honda bond

Most likely it didn't fall inside, it probably rolled away and blends into the concrete. If you really think it's inside just grab a friend and lay the bike as far over as possible without touching the ground and shake a few times.. make sure to put a piece of cardboard down because most likely a gear or two will fall out. Best take a picture of the inside before you do this so you can reassemble based on the picture.. best of luck finding it!

Need Help! trying to reinstall my crank case cover and it just will not line up properly (on the one occasion it did go on there was a loud metallic bang, but the clutch lever won't move). I'm so frustrated i feel like taking a bat to the bloody thing!
@themillionairejourney9 жыл бұрын
i had this same issue how did you get it on
@kdlofty9 жыл бұрын
After a world of trouble i got it on! I think the key is to line it up move the clutch lever (on the casing so its free for the clutch pin to enter, line up the recesses (the bottom right one first. between 4 & 5 o'clock where the water reservoir attaches) and the screw holes, Just be patient and gentle and it will go on. Let me know how you get on bud.

After replacing clutch plates, bike primed the first time but won't start due to weak battery. Next day, new battery in and then bike won't prime. Any thoughts?
@enasoii Жыл бұрын
Prime??? What year is the bike you’re working on? The bike in this video has fuel injection not carburetor….. if you’re having an issue starting verify there’s enough gas, oil, and make sure oil sensor is still plugged in

why is everyone asking this KZbin mimicker questions!? you can tell he doesn't know what he's doing.....besides if you don't know how to take bolts out of a side cover you don't need to be touching anything!
