Dang, you beat me to it....by 4 months, LMAO. Samsung is one of the few that put actual heatsinks on all the processors and RAM. the LG's are stark-naked, or wearin rubbers {:O I bake those LG "A" boards boards all the time, I've only had one not come out of the oven ½ baked. Haven't had much success with baking Samsung "A" boards, but have repaired a shload of their P-Supply's ;) E=IxR, ~Malfunction Junction

So although you had no backlighting and had image on (checked with flashlight test), your inverter board was fine? I have a TV with the same symptoms and was thinking I would replace the inverter board. But now I worry I will have to replace the main board.

+Charles Cho Usually a no backlight issue is caused by the inverter/power supply. However, in this particular case, all the voltages on the inverter/ power supply seemed okay. Since it is not common for the mainboard to cause this issue, I thought I had a bad LCD panel. However, after panels on this model usually do not go bad all at once. So I changed the mainboard and that fixed the problem. It looks like the mainboard was not sending the low voltage signal to turn on the backlight.

Hi, Help me please. I get the standby light on but when I try to touch the power button, nothing happens. Same when using the remote. There is a small board for the touch buttons and the IR sensor. Could this board be faulty?

+marvin friend Hola Marvin, si, en este caso fue el mainboard lo que oacacionaba el problema. Sin embargo este problema no es tan comun como tener un power supply/inverter board en mal estado.
