First of all, I want to thank you for "guiding" me to the correct information for my problem. See, I DID have startup problems, but inasmuch as my windows 7 WOULD boot to the "starting windows" screen, it would stall there. So I needed a way to break through, and I found one. When you suggested going to F8 to bring up the options page, I found that "disable automatic restart on system failure" did it for me, although I don't know how, but I'm not gonna "poke it with a stick"...again, thanks.

likewise, i think we're up shit creek. Might as well back up everything and reinstall windows. There is a way to put an installation disk on a flash drive but it's complicated.

I have had multiple certified Network and Service Techs tell me that Windows 7 repair option - almost NEVER works. Almost Never. Every User should have more than one start up and repair disk. (my bad) I didn't. 99% of the time.... I just NUKE and PAVE and reinstall.

in the command prompt I typed c:\windows\system32\oobe then msoobe opens to the personalize the opens setting like color the says finalizing your setting and goes right back to fail. do you have an idea why I really need help as this is my work computer and I don't care about the files but I need to get back to work.

Unfortunately, you'll need either an installation disk or a system repair disk. And you can create a System Repair disk on another computer that has the same operating system as yours if need be.

ckemi mire Try the following tutorial to remove Google Chrome. "kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4bMaGd3qZl4qZI". And then afterwards, perform a "Smart Scan" of your system with the "Emsisoft Emergency Kit" and remove everything it detects as malicious and then restart your computer. The kit can be downloaded from "www.emsisoft.com/en/software/eek/".

ckemi mire Don't worry, because we do this for a living. You could never be annoying to us. To get to "Safe Mode with Network Support", simply restart your computer and right before the Windows logo appears (Timing is everything), press and hold the "Function F8" key at the top of your keyboard. Next, once the Advanced options menu appears, simply select "Safe Mode with Network Support" by utilizing the arrow keys and then press enter. And once you're in "Safe Mode with Network Support" you should be able to download the Emsisoft Emergency Kit without a problem.
