remove battery, tray, and the 2 metal bracket bolts. undo the 2 bolts in front for the air intake. then undo the 2 for the air filter, pull out the filter, hold the top up and slip your wrench under to remove the 2 10mm on the right side of the bottom of the air box. pull the duct, bracket, and air box bottom out together. the top can just hang there, no need to disconnect MAF or VCV connectors or hoses or the clamp

I put in New starter new battery.Still no crank.Can you help?
@thediyyardie71924 ай бұрын
I would start with checking to make sure battery voltage is at starter signal wire when key is turned to start position, if no, check starter signal fuse, relay, if those check out, the next step is ignition switch, the [electrical side].

I'm starting to try and repair actual motors rather than just throw money at a new one. For instance a common failure on these years toyotas is the driver door window motor. The metal shroud shrinks a bit around the spinning shaft so with some mod with an angle grinder its back to new. Go that extra step and pull apart your old parts and investigate. Money to be saved. So this motor could need a gear fix. Loose inner wire, grinding adjustment needed, etc which would take maybe 20 to 30 minutes to sort out. If you charge a customer might aswell get the new part though.

Yes, I do try to repair certain parts if I'm working on my own car, but if its for a customer they will usually rather it be replaced with a new part.

I have heard of that happening, but not to this particular car, and definitely not in recent years..
