Great video. Do you have to replace the sensor when you replace the pads?
@kevinsmobileautomotiverepair9 ай бұрын
most of the time yes especially if the sensor is broken and the light on the dash tells you worn out pads.

Hi great video 👍🏼. Is this also the same process for a full size 2017 Land Rover discovery 3.0l v6 (Gas) engine? Thank you

pretty close the only diff might be the placement of the rear sensor and how the caliper is retraced in the rear

After changing my pads I noticed a clunk noise from the calipers 😢 should I put more grease? Thanks
@kevinsmobileautomotiverepair Жыл бұрын
the grease is just to prevent squeaking noise from the pads moving inside the caliper bracket the caliper itself does not make any noise. GO back and make sure all bolts are tights.

You didn't address the brake sensor replacement - that is on the driver's side (American) and it's quite a "fun" thing to get at. i did see your REAR brake video and it addressed the brake sensor on the passenger side rear (American cars) so and it's the same process of unhooking it, releasing it from the holders and replacing it with the new one. I'm not being critical, just noting that there is an additional step on the other side of the car.

If you read the comments its in there the sensor is one plug and clicps onto the brake pad thats its takes all of 5 seconds to replace. If you have ever done Europen car its the same setup.

First of all, those pliers are practically worthless for that application, secondly, maybe get a set of deep vice grips or a big light wight clamp from Harbor freight and a small block of wood to keep those clips partially in place while you're snapping in the top part
