Excellent video my man! I just finished changing the brakes and sensor on my 2016 disco sport according to your vid and spot on. Just a few notes for the next guy. 1. The bottom caliper nut is in a shitty spot, so get a low-profile hex socket or a nr.7 allan key for it. You dont really need to do the bottom nut though. The top one is enough and the caliper will be able to swing down. 2. Chock your front wheels. For heavens sake, secure them! Either go buy a wheel chock, it cheap, or use bricks. Just dont forget this. 3. Getting the car in brake service mode... - Ignition on. - Press e-brake down (keep holding it) - 1 second later press accelerator down (keep holding it as well) - 1 second later turn Ignition off and immediately back on. - Release e-brake - Release accelerator You will hear the electronic brake release for about 7 seconds. You can leave the Ignition on or turn it off. 4. To take the car out of brake service mode, do the same but instead of pressing the e-brake to release, pull it to engage. You will hear the electronic brake engage again.

Great videos! My GF’s 2015 Discovery just lit up the brake light and so now I guess I’ll be learning how to do this. My first question is, I’d there any way to know if it was the front sensor or the rear sensor that caused the warning light to come on? I know I can look at the pads to see which ones are worn the most but for the purpose of knowing which sensor cable to order. TIA

no the system does not tell you its general the pads that are worn are the ones with the sensor being needed

Grab your torch and go have a look at both. You'll see the ones that are flat and close to the disc.
