Thank you so much for sharing this very informative step-by-step video. I was able to replace my transmission mount by myself. First a GMC mechanic wanted too much for the labor, then he wanted what appeared to me excessive amount for the actual mount. I found it at a more affordable price because it did not have the mechanic markup. But, I was faced with the task of replacing it myself. Your video was the DYI how to, and thus, saved me money.

FYI for all that find this video....if you have a clunk / clank / click you hear under your yukon or tahoe, this could be the culprit. I found out after researching and replacing a few suspension components that this was actually the issue. My bracket wasn't "bad" as far as i could tell but was super loose, nuts would have eventually fell off. Tightened the two nuts and boom, no more rattle.

The two bolts you took off from the transmission mount do you know if they are 10mm-1.5? Not the studs that are on the crossmember but the side bolts.

Is that a 4l80 trans? Mount looks much bigger than the 4l60 mount.

Haynes manual says 18ft lbs for trans mount bolts? It says 37 ft lbs for transmission to engine block bolts...

I suggest not using an impact on those bolts it won't break that way like he did.

Oh you should break the nut free before putting pressure on the transmission in my opinion

I think your torque specs are wrong transmission mounts to crossmember nuts are 40 lb. transmission to transmission mount bolts are 50 lb. This Information is coming from a Haynes repair manual
