How to replace a blend door actuator 2002 GMC envoy

just did this on my papa’s 2006 envoy and it was far better than everyone else’s technical and proper ways. Regardless it still didn’t fix it so i’m still hunting but saved me lots of pain

There is a much easier and much less invasive way to do it. Just drill a hole through both sides of the "C" shaped metal brace, in line with the screw head and just big enough to fit the 5.5mm socket through. Once the screws (all 3) are out, you can just use a little leverage to slightly bend the metal brace to make enough room to get the actuator out. You don't actually need to bend the metal, just push it enough to flex it out of the way

My local parts store doesn't have them and hasnt had them for years unfortunately so junkyard run to get parts for me

Saves time beside if you don’t cut you have to remove the entire part very complicated So cut make it easy You can’t even see it
