Much better with sound and your explanation, didn't see you replace the damaged downpipe drain in the video?
@dennisperrie Жыл бұрын
I have a separate video for that. Otherwise, the video becomes too long. Check out how to install a downpipe.

Great instructional video. Best I’ve found so far for replacing the eaves on YT. Just wondering if it’s easier to start with putting the sheet into the outside groove first then against the brick wall?
@dennisperrie Жыл бұрын
The easiest is to start with the wall. It allows the sheet to slide

Excellent job. I have to fix mine, and my roof seems identical to that one. My problem is I need 85 cm wide board, but the widest available seems to be 75 cm
@dennisperrieАй бұрын
@@jimowenspmp you should be able to get 90 and 120 wide boards.
@jimowenspmpАй бұрын
@@dennisperrie I haven't found wider than 75 cm in Perth. I can get Villaboard wider, but it's thicker (6 mm)

G'day Dennis. Do you have a video on sloped eaves? In particular I'm trying to work out how I would install colorbond fascia and rebate the soffit sheets into the groove at the bottom if the sheets were running along the rafters at an angle, and weren't horizontal like in this video. Sorry for the long winded question.
@dennisperrieАй бұрын
@ML6103 it all about the set up. you have to get the rebate set right. If you are not sure a roof carpenter will know the set up
@ML6103Ай бұрын
@@dennisperrie but are there colorbond fascias with an angled rebate for the soffit sheets? So far, all I can find is the rebate facing 90 degrees to accommodate the sheet as normal at horizontal. I can find timber fascias with the angled slot, but not colorbond. I guess I'm just wondering if they are around.

Generally it is done with wood but if you talk to the facia manufacturer they may have some ideas or solutions.

Looks like a tricky operation all around. That eave sheet is brittle by the looks of it. I can see why small taps are used instead of mega force!

How old was that house? Would the eaves not contain asbestos? also, whoever wired that place went a little overboard with romax 😅😅😅
@dennisperrie10 ай бұрын
Not overly old as the eave was broken due to water. Definately not asbestoes. Also it was by the meter box so that is why all the wires

@@dennisperrie cool bananas. Still so much Romax wire is a sure sign of a “quality” electrician 😀😀😀
