Whenever working around airbags, I would strongly suggest that you disconnect the battery and wait 20 minutes to ensure there is no current running through. Just a safety precaution.

You don't have to wait 20 minutes. After diconnecting the battery, you need to step on the brakes. It'll dissipate any current left in the system immediately. Twelve volt electronics technician 30 plus years.

What happens to the pins from the old emblem you just pushed inside the steering wheel?? These are pieces of plastic that can cause serious problems

It’s looks very easy, the only question is what will happen with the parts of plástic that you push in , because They are between the cover and the. airbag in case of crash, thanks for answer me.

The simple truth is that in case of a crash and the airbag deploys, there's the chance that the plastic bits will come flying out, and could cause injury. To fix this issue, you'd have to either disassemble the airbag, or replace it entirely. I have a link to a video showing how to disassemble the airbag in the description. You can see how complicated that is, but that is what you'd have to do to replace the emblem the right way. Or, you'd have to spend a lot of money to buy a replacement airbag which comes with the emblem already.

I would say David is much more right than Daniel. After considering that all the plastic pins that David pushed through are now sitting dead center in front of the airbag that is pressed tight against the black cover, those plastic bits are now ready to come out at high speed right towards your face in even a minor accident. Do I really want to risk the possibility one of those could come at high speed right into my eye? Nope. So I decided to do it the "hard" way and it really isn't that hard. I think it's worth the extra time it takes to make sure you didn't just create a shotgun shell out of your airbag.

Letting everyone one know that the pins can come out of you carefully pull on them and twist them around. They look like mushrooms on the others side. It was satisfying like removing a large pimple but you get to do it around 9 times😂. Also for information on pin/plastic parts the car is a 2006 crv native to Texas. So the heat and age did not impact this.

you'd have to disconnect the battery. when you reconnect the battery you'd have to reset the clock.

2006-2007 Honda Accord coupe is probably the best one, I think, in terms of looks, repairability, tech, etc. do check out consumer report articles as I think there was one specifically about Accord reliability. in general, stay away from the first year of a run as those tend to have the most problems.

I have a 2006 Honda Accord VP. It has 278,000 and i would have no fear to drive it anywhere. I do all of the Honda recommended maintenance, and it has easily been the least expensive vehicle to own, very few repairs have been needed. If you buy one, if it has been properly maintained, like changing the transmission fluid every 30,000 miles with honda transmission fluid, you'll love it.

I would have leave the broken pins from the original emblem in. Then brake all pins from new emblem. Since all pins from new emblem match the pins still in the there ( broken ones ), just add a dip of gorilla krazy glue on each one then bam! All broken pins are now glued the new ones on the new emblem ( just a simple idea ) 🤷🏽‍♂️
