How To Replace A Leveling Valve On A Volvo Semi

Thank you man! I'm about to replace mine. The nut on mine loosened up slowly. Over time, the valve's crank arm's hole and rotor wore each other out, causing super high and super low air pressure readings. I can understand why the last guy put loctite on it. Good to know not to do that. I was considering it. The valve's crank arm wears out anyway haha. I think the reason why the rod is longer is because of the newer models. Mine's a 2019, the old rod and the new one had the same length. So Volvo probably discontinued the shorter rod. I had to replace that rod last year due to the bottom nut loosening. It caused the stud it screwed onto, to completely wear out and pop out of the crossbeam. At 70 mph with no air in the bags? Lemme tell ya, crazy bouncy ride along with nasty and noisy U-joint/driveshaft vibrations. Overinflated bags will have similar symptoms. But no air was way scarier. Luckily no damage to the driveline. I managed to get to an open lot right away to ziptie the rod to the crossbeam. I expect components associated with that event will prematurely wear out.

Yall, what does ei go to? I got dump, c1 and c2 but don’t know what ei goes to. I’m replacing an older model. For clarification I’m replacing an older model Leveling valve, this is the part Volvo gave me
