Sometimes pressing two buttons at once will work (it did with my old Casio G-Shock, very similar to the exact watch in this video), but anything conductive will do the trick, such as a thin paperclip.

It seems the AC test point must short to the top ( + ) of the battery to reset the watch. My G-shock works by this procedure.

It did on my old when when I got the repairman to do it. They actually have a disclaimer to say there's no longer any guarentee of water resistance in the event of battery replacement unless it's sent back to Casio.

I replaced the battery in both of my watches some time ago. The only thing I didn't know was the proper way to loosen that metal clip. After I put fresh batteries in I didn't need to do the tweezer thing to jump start either of them.

No, because water resistance is achieved by screws and rubber/plastic rings. No adhesives are used. Thus, opening up your watch will have no negative effects on water resistance, if you reassemble it properly

Opened the watch. Realized they made removing the battery as complicated as they could. Grabbed a hammer. Smashed the watch. Bought a new watch.... ridiculous how we need "special tools" like microscopic tweezers to change a fucking battery....

Yeah that metal clip was a pain in the ass. It was even harder to put it back in because the bending was making it hard to snap back underneath the plastic holder.

That's why he used plastic tweezers to remove the battery bro, the metal ones are just to do the AC reset on the watch. Hope this helps!
