You can also add tape to the insulation, some people cover the whole thing to help protect from the elements, and a few zip ties along the way and at the ends help it hold up. Appreciate your video

I've always been curious, is it necessary (or helpful) to insulate the pipe inside of the actual Outside AC unit? I notice the condenser pipe continues inside the unit itself.

Why don't you have to worry about insulating the "little guy"? What is the "little guy" used for?

+shilab1999 it’s the drain pipe. Condensation from the unit drains out there. No need to insulate it

Hey Ham best take a look at that terrible wiring job seen at 32 sec and 36 sec. Those are 240vac power lines and the insulation is ripped showing the red black and white lines. Local codes anywhere in the world (except Ethiopia Nicaragua South Africa etc) requires that to be run in some type of armored cable so your kids dont start hanging on them and get electrocuted. Ugly scene.
