You will need to complete the process shown to match the EKPM to the vin and car

@@619alucin Get Protool app on your phone. You will need to pay for coding license but it is worth it for future use. You will need a compatible obd adapter too, I recommend MHD orange universal adapter. Then just follow the steps in my video.

How does that shoulder bolster come off? Is there just one plastic clip at the top of the bolster? In the video you obviously "prepped" the removal process, so just wondering how hard is the bolster removal? I don't want to break any quality BMW plastic. 😅

Just pull it at the top, it'll come out. Sometimes the white plastic clip will stay in the chassis like it did here, sometimes it will stay with the bolster. Just clip it into the bolster before you push it back in. Easy. There's just one other little plastic dowel to align on the bottom of the bolster, so the motion is to lower the bottom of the bolster into place, then push the top part backwards.

Used. Yes I use Protool to factory code used modules all the time. Very easy.

Yes it's Android only. You can always buy a $50 android phone to run it if needed.

@@dominictrejo1306 No it should still show even with just the coding license I believe. I just checked and in the new app update it should be very clear, here is a screenshot I just took to verify: postimg.cc/wtTv6PnB I would start with checking the fuse for the EKPM, especially if you are replacing it because of issues.

@@dominictrejo1306 And if that still doesn't work then I would guess that the EKPM is incompatible, likely one from a different chassis like F30. They need to be from the same chassis, and ideally from the same engine variant.

@@DavidMendez-pf6ie I use a cheap wired one I got years ago on ebay. To be honest if I was starting over again I'd just buy the MHD wireless adapter which should work with both Protool, MHD, XHP etc. The wired one is only really needed for things like inpa and ista which protool replaces anyway.
