Just got mine in the mail today. kzbin.infoUgkxhcEDB3r-OJ3_X5hQzr7k1ZofTQy1ao_U The corners of the box was a little smashed but I think that’s more of the shipping’s fault. iPad was in perfect condition though. I ordered the yellow one thinking it was going to be a bright vibrant color. Instead I looks like more of a Gold color. I personally prefer the gold look. Definitely not disappointed but just a heads up to the ones expecting a brighter cream of yellow.

Superglue is a terrible choice. Firstly, it dries hard and brittle; the proper adhesive (such as 3M VHB) offers a tiny amount of cushioning for the glass. Secondly, it's a pain to remove cleanly if access is required again. Thirdly, the vapour crystallises on contact with fingerprints or grease. Unless the glass is perfectly cleaned with isopropyl alcohol, the vapour can cause a clouding on the inside of the screen.

All true, I was only showing how to do this repair with common tools. Best to purchase a new digitizer that has pre applied adhesive or a liquid type like 3m or b7000

No clips, just use the double sided tape the screen comes with or the b7000 glue

you tape it with red double side tape, heat it back up and then put it face down on a flat surface with some weight on top. leave that there until it cools completely....i built a press out of plexiglass and nylon screws and nuts to seal up the ipads i repair. i leave the pressure on over night...

He must have only blown on it too hard, or maybe sneezed. Mine dropped from one filing cabinet drawer to another - 1-2ft and I had one of those rubber cases and the whole digitiser went - you just can't beat fate!

Definitely burnt his bridge. The screens usually come with adhesive tap attached--no glue needed.

A lot of the double sided tape out there does not last and screen will start to lift. I use that particular type of glue that once heated will melt and screen can be removed for further repairs if needed. Some good quality double sided tape is good, most cheap ones are bad.

The new one will work, but no Touch ID. Only original button has the Touch ID feature since it is coded to the main board.

Use packing tape or scotch tape over the screen to hold the glass in place. Just like they do with windows before a hurricane :)

what a cheap way of replacing a glass.....blade, dangerous, no heat at the beginning, harder to accomplish, no heat monitoring, you can fuck up....using just any glue?... cheap ass repair... dust and micro bacteria will be accumulated over time in the gap between the glass and frame.. Sorry, I wish there was a button "Do not attempt this"
