I've ruined two Polar H10s by using CR2032s instead of CR2025s by accident (they look identical at a quick glance and everything else uses CR2032s so I have lots of them). The thicker battery makes the O-ring seal not seal properly and sweat gets inside. I don't know about Suunto Smart Sensor specifically but I wouldn't risk it.

Does the strap need to be re-paired with devices when a new battery is installed?
@HowToPM11 ай бұрын
Replacing the battery is the only thing that will need to be done. ;)

@HowToPM3 жыл бұрын
Hi Amir. I never tried the strap with an app. I always used it with a watch.

Do you swim with your HR sensor? Just wondering if the larger battery might affect how well it seals.
@HowToPM4 жыл бұрын
Hi Sean! Well I do not swim very often but I did few time last week and I had no problem with water getting in. However, I did realise that my watch did'nt see my heart rate into water.

do I need to take the sensor off of the belt after my workout?
@HowToPM3 жыл бұрын
Nha. I never do that and the battery last for a very long time. The device is activated by your sweat on your workout so it stop working few minutes after you remove it.

Is it better than Polar H10?
@HowToPM Жыл бұрын
I think Polar is a leader in HR sensor.

ok preatty easy. But how long does your battery last?
@HowToPM4 жыл бұрын
So long that I don't even remember the last time I did it. Probably around a year with 7 to 20 hours a week of use.

There must something wrong with mine then...i've to replace the battery after a few hours....what could it be? I usually remove the sensor when i'm done too.
@HowToPM3 жыл бұрын
Humm. Probably a bad battery. Mines work for... Month, maybe sometime a year. And I exercise at least 1h a day, every day. And I never rome the sensor at the end. Try with good battery. I use those one : geni.us/CR2032e

@@HowToPM I don't know if the battery brand is the main problem, I used both Varta and Duracell and I was able to use it for a couple of times, like 3 hours in total. I did pair the belt just with the watch so maybe the sensor is damaged? It's not new, I got it years ago and it never really lasted that long... a month or 2 with 10 hours of usage per week I would say.

I prefer to use a coin to open the battery cover. Less chance of breaking the cover.

A little update, i gave up in buying regular batteries cuz i would have spent a fortune. Actually can barely go past a couple of hours of energy. I guess the problem is the sensor itself cuz i always remove it from the belt and it's not connected with my phone or anything. I think i will just give up and get a new watch with Wrist HR unless there's a reasonably cheap alternative to the suunto official HR BEL / MOVESENSE.

Hum. This is weird. I remember the battery was lasting for months when I was using it. I would give a try with those great quality battery and if it not working, this is by far my favorite watch ever : kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3uch4yFaNt-iJI
