How to replace bulb in heater control center trim panel Toyota Corolla. Years 1991 to 2002

I'm interested in replacing that bulb with an array of LED bulbs and getting rid of the prism completely. I saw a fellow in China do it on his youtube channel. The bulbs behind the hazard and defrost can also be replaced with a resistor and an LED. There is also an ashtray bulb that can be replaced with a resistor and LED, however i'm not sure its going to be as easy as the rest. Thank you for posting these videos on the old corollas! You are much easier for me to understand than the guy speaking Chinese and i wouldn't be able to figure this out without your guidance!

Thank you, sir, your video helped me in pulling out the radio and clock that I'll be keeping as a reminder of the awesome car I'll have to say good bye to. These old Toyotas... Cars like those will never again be produced. Wish I had a chance to drive one in a brand new condition.

I thank you. :) If you wouldn't mind giving me one more advice, I'm unsure as to how to connect the clock to a power source. The car had 4 pins, labeled on the back of the clock as B, ACC, E and ILL (top to bottom, left to right order). Judging from the PCB descriptions, it would appear that ACC and ILL are the poles, but I'd like to know for sure. And I'm not certain about voltage either. Standard 12 V? Thank you again!

Hi Peter, nice video! Second one of yours I'll soon be using :) One question - do You know if the 2 buttons (hazard lights and rear window heater) in this panel have backlight? And also - the button on the left side of steering wheel (fog lights and central locking) - do they have a backlight?

Hi, those switch don't have backlight. I think so.

YES they do! mostare burnt out by now they have these tiny bulbs that go on the little plus signs on each button, the cigarette lighter and ashtray have these tiny bulbs too

This is Toyota original bulb is best. Visit the Toyota dealer center. They know the number.
