So what is the part number for the pads on the back (the caliper looks upside down). Would it be the DP515 or DP516?
@LetDirtFly Жыл бұрын
Yes you need one left DP515 set and two DP516 sets

I couldn’t get my pin back in, everything was aligned. I’ll buy a new one. Always something.

Instead of using washers on your caliper bolts….. just grind an 1/8th inch off end of bolts. Much easier than messing with washers. Just make sure you grind slow and don’t overheat the bolts. Cheers

If people don't know how to change brake pads they shouldn't be working on anything so anyone that find this video helpful probably should not be working on a motor vehicle of any kind

You have to remember, people have to start somewhere. Not everyone grows up in a garage working side by side with their father or grandfather changing transmissions, engines, etc. Brakes are an easy, beginner DIY repair that people with some basic tools can do. Quads are one of the best ways to get into doing mechanical stuff because of their simplicity. I posted this video for that guy or girl that wants to attempt getting their hands dirty and learn something new that can also save them some money in the long run…thanks for your input though

@@LetDirtFly yeah that is true but people either work on cars ATVs things with small engines etc or they don't most people don't pick it up halfway through life they either Hiram mechanic or work on their own stuff

Could not disagree more. When there are videos like this out there, so clear and concise, it lets people they know they can do the job themselves without paying $125/hr and waiting a week or two or more to get their machine back. Most people have access to the basic tools used in these types of videos. It doesn't mean they are going to splitting cases anytime soon, or doing a top end job, but brake pads are a nice, fairly straightforward job. If you don't have an experience person there to help guide you, these videos are like gold.
