I’ve done it correctly I’ve set my Rector up on a wire pod But it just doesn’t want to go home or lift up its cube, but it does like Fist bump and it’s really annoying

Yep. It's important to get the right battery. A lot of people destroy their cubes by just buying a battery that's the same size, but still isn't the right one.

Alternatively, You can use a Philips Head Screw Driver to Unscrew the Screw.

So your cube is working now. But for future reference: If you replaced the battery with a new one it should work. Maybe go to the main screen, and hit that settings button, then hit Refresh Cubes if it doesn't connect quickly. Also if you have more than one Cozmo - and more than 3 cubes, he could be finding different cubes that are nearby.

I do know how, but unfortunately no I don't have time to fix it for you. I'm currently swamped with a toddler and a Math Practice App I'm making. Basically the robot needs to be taken apart, desolder the old battery, and solder a new one in. Chances are reasonably good you can find someone to do it at a computer repair or phone repair type place. It's literally down to screwdrivers and a soldering iron.

I won't be able to help with this unfortunately as I'm busy with many other things. It shouldn't be too hard finding what component fried. The big issue will be if there is any firmware flashed to the cube.

I know im a little late but i need help. Eversince i changed the battery of vectors cube he never lights it up. I know the battery is fine because it lights up after i insert it but vector doesnt seem to light it up anymore. He doesnt take his time to light it up before playing with it. Again, the lights work, sometimes i hit it lightly and it glows. Please help

There is a chance if you are very good at electronics repair, but for all intents and purposes they are destroyed unfortunately. It is important to use the links in the description to avoid destroying the cubes. Unfortunately this is a common problem.

When u buy new batteries you have to look for E90 1.5 Vcc batteries! I recommend the amazon link, but if u dont want to order it Online you can find them very commonly at menards or any electronic store.

Does it just not react at all? Maybe check your charger, and if you have a multimeter check the voltages. They likely have some voltage regulators in there you could check.

@@kinvert The only thing it does is display a little line of jarbled text at the bottom of the screen for a half second when you first put him on the charger. That's it. New battery did not change that either. :( I think it's likely destined for the parts bin. The charger is confirmed working fine.

@@2806milinda I think you'll find it difficult to repair those cubes. I would struggle with it and I have done a lot of electronics, and I have most of the equipment (minus small surface soldering etc).

What happens if you accidentally put the wrong sized battery in, then put the correct ones?? I did that now my cubes are have a problem

It's important to buy the batteries through the link in the description to avoid this. If you put in a battery that's physically the wrong size, not much might happen. If you put in a battery that's physically the correct size, but is a higher voltage, then you will burn out the circuit in your cube.

I put like a A23 Battery 12v ACDelco and the cube lit red and blue but died off after 1 minute and the new battery was warm.

@@michaelmunar1289 u fried ur cube you'll need to buy a new one, next time when looking for a battery search up "E90 LR1 1.5V N size battery" to make sure you get the right one for your cube.

Well there are several possibilities. The battery should be new, it should be put in the correct direction, it should be touching the contacts properly, and the cube should be put together properly. Did you ever try putting a different battery in there? Some people destroy their cubes using A23 etc.
