Yay! thanks very much! i'm 65, with both knees replaced so wasn't looking forward to this little project, but with your video it went smoothly. The only thing you didn't mention was to take your jewelry off before starting!;) I know, common sense would say thats a given! AS i was reaching my arm up into the very narrow opening, my bracelets started snagging, so had to stop and take them off... i think it was a blond moment.

If you have a Hybrid, there's a bit more work than the above as it has a resonator chamber in the wheel well on the driver's side. Granted, just need a 10mm to take several bolts from down there, but it's not a big issue. thanks!

@@gagehamilton2497 It's not difficult. You'll see what looks like a nylon/plastic container in the driver's side wheel well. It is connected up top to the intake of your car - just make sure it's still connected after you finish. Mine did not have the best seal up top tbh. If you are installing LED lights - the plug is not keyed, so it can go in a right way, and a wrong way - one way works, the other doesn't, so test before butting back up. Lastly, if the lenses are cloudy, you can get replacement housing assemblies fairly cheaply on eBay. Good luck on your repair!

@@FloridaFrank2010 Thanks for your reply. I see the nylon/plastic container inside the drivers side , and that's what concerns me, but im just going to play it safe a take the tire off and expose the wheel well enough to see everything.

And remember to not let your bare skin touch the glass of the new replacement bulb as the oils in your skin can cause it to overheat and pop or bubble out. If you do touch the glass with your skin, rub it down with rubbing alcohol and dry completely.

Worked for my 06 mazda tribute, although mine used the H1 bulb instead of the one this escape uses. Hardest part was getting that little metal clip that holds the socket in back on.
