Thanks! I got a '06 LS and had to replace the passenger side bearing assembly and half shaft when I saw how bad my motor mount was. I was worried that it was going to be a much bigger job. Definitely going to get this done now! :)

Thankyou man you are the truth! i did this exact thing on my car today i replaced the axle and motor mount for the first time i followed your videos and it went well. I had to shift the motor around a bit to get the mount to drop in but i got it. same with moving the shock around a bit to wiggle the new axle out/in but car is smooth now no more clunking! and i only spent $84 parts and saved huge $$ on labor im sure

You replaced the lower engine mount. I have all 3 that needs replacing & was wondering how to get to the lower one because the top mounts are what seems to be very easy. But still thanx for showing Me this one that I was mostly worried about. Mine got used in a pit manuver & screwed up the right front suspension. Man the work and alignments that got performed so far & still aint done yet!

CV boot is rubbing on the frame passenger side, i think if i change the engine mount and the transmission mount i may be able to get the clearance i need and keep this car. Is the motor mount accessed from the Passenger Side?

Great instructional video, I just wish my car undercarriage was that clean. Oh and try taking the front subframe bolts out to gave more clearance in removing and replacing the mounts with the bracket still on.

As I got older all those matco,snap ons are not for me. Harbor freight sockets are lifetime.they actually work. Home Depot for my $40 ratchet same lifetime warranty.

Different car, but I have a 01 Pontiac Grand Prix SE. I had a real bad vibration under acceleration. My front mount was real bad. I replaced the front mount, got rid of 95 % of my vibration under acceleration. I still have a slight vibration under acceleration. Should I flip my dog bone bushings, or replace the transmission mount, or both? But some people say flipping the dog bone mount bushings may add slight vibration. I don't want any vibration.

I started feeling a vibration in the floor and the seat mostly going uphill [under load] from the mount being bad.checked the mount and yep, it was leaking, a new mount took care of the vibration and it drives like new again

I have a 2008 Impala LS and it’s been making a thud sound from time to time and earlier i turned and the whole car shook. I looked up what it might be and it said noter mount and it led me to your video and i was wondering if you thought that could be the mother mount or something else? The car was recently hit on the front passenger side and messed up the bumper and headlight and i thought that maybe thought could’ve cause the motor mount to mess up. TIA

Got a 14 Impala. About 5 or 6 weeks ago started hearing a ting click type sound coming from the left side front. My mechanic thought it was a transmission issue, couldn't figure it out. Then the transmission guy said its not a transmission issue but maybe the beginning of a bad motor mount? It's really annoying. I hear when shifting and now when I start and stop moving the car.

Was that a 3.8/3.9 or 3.4/3.5? I guess a few of them came with a 5.3 over the years too. I've got to do my mom's 09 Lacrosse soon. I think they are the same.

3.8.....most 3 series is the same but not the 5.3... mounts on those are a pain to do

Hey do you have a vid on the upper mounts? I just came across your channel and I love it bro! I just spent 2k on my 2010 ltz. Whole steering/front end deal. Then I get it back and he tells me the clunking is the motor mounts, and he didn't want to tell me over the phone because the mounts would take "8 weeks" to be delivered and he can't find any in the city. bs.

You will feel the engine jerk when accelerating or vibration at idle. If the mount is bad it can be seen visibly, have some hold the brake and apply engine torque

The name on the tools doesnt matter, where you buy tools doesnt make you a technician, the tools just help you get the job done and as long as they get the job done it doesnt matter what the name is on them. Most mechanical jobs do not require alot of skill, diagnosing the job correctly is where the skill is. Doing the job right the first time is what matters. Anyone with tools can be a parts changer. Are you a technician or a parts changer.

Please, while you're in there, change that leaky harmonic balance seal! It's about $6.00! If the mount gets oil saturated again, it's just going to fail again.
