Great job! People look around the world for things to look up to, but the mechanic is the true heroes.

I actually appreciate your video because you were very detailed in how to extract and how to put back in place each part ... And you also told what tools are needed and did NOT waist time with any BS!!! You were straight to the point, not side tracking about some BS that has nothing to do with the project !!!! Thank You Your video is very helpful.. Once again THANK YOU 😎

You weren't joking about the rear mount. I'm still trying to get it off. Any tricks or do I need to give up and get a longer pry bar? edit: finally got it off. Car runs so much smoother now. it's a solid ride.

Are there ANY OTHER transmission mounts other than the one you replaced? Because I'm looking at purchasing the parts and there are several OTHER parts that are packaged together. I have the two engine mounts.

Why remove the heat shield in the first place? It looks as it it could fit as one piece from where you slid it in.

Are these prone to failure? I think my car may have bad mounts, it makes a popping noise when accelerating sharply from a stand still. No noise if doing it slowly.

More than likely you need tie rod end control arm or cv Axle . Get checked before it get worst

Is it okay to have the weight of 1/2 the car on the oil pan when using just a jack? I can’t seem to lift enough.
@ezwa99795 ай бұрын
not mech., but if car is SAFElY(remember up movement we’re talking about) on jackstands, probley beter on oil pan to just raise the 5-700 lb? eng., & tranny then to raise a ton(1/2 a 2ton-ish car) -especially so as we gotta raise eng or trans. IN RELATION to car anyway👋.. careful not to lift car off jackstands - & that Pc of woods kind of gambley too, 1 thing that might work is car 21” on jackstands, & a power lift jack&stand with clever adaptor for oil pan or trans. although either way, a shorter pEc of woods less tipity✋

Yes should be good for Impalas with the 3.6 from 2006-2012. They made a few more of these fleet models thru 2017, but as long as it's this body style.
