Great video thanks. Started with Chris fix but i needed something more specific. Like yours, the last person to do this job used a lot of anti seize so it was pretty smooth sailing. Only really got stuck with the axle nut briefly. Honestly i found this easier than brakes, which I've always found reasonably easy

Thank you for the great video. Gave me the confidence to tackle on my own. One thing I'll comment for others that may view this... Not sure how you got the deep socket on the hub bolts. I needed to pick up a stubby 15mm socket in order to make this work. I noticed the clearances were tighter on the passenger side for whatever reason. The driver side was easier to work with. The instructions on the anti-seize and the breaker bar were particularly helpful

If anyone reads the comments before doing work, if you have a 1997-1999 with hub centric wheels your torque for lug nuts is not 150. The lug nuts actually says the torque spec on them which is usually 100.

What size drive torque wrench do you use? My half inch drive only goes to 250 foot pounds.

I have a question . I wana replace mine but I noticed there’s some f150 with hubs and others within the rotor . Or is there no difference how you do it?

One question---I noticed that you didn't use any wheel bearing grease, is it okay not to use any? I just want to make sure I do them right by following your video. I'm going to do both front driver and passenger side wheel bearing and hub assembly on my 2000 ford expedition 4.6L V8 Triton XLT and I just got both of my wheel bearing and hub assembly for each side from 1AAUTO delivered.

My 2001 F150, the wheel bearings are sealed in the hub assy, so you can't grease them.

My 03 hub looks like it’s mounted with 4 bolts in the back instead of 3 (on a square plate instead of triangle shaped) I’m worried it’s not original and I’ll be ordering the wrong hub. Any ideas?
@nickwood5026 ай бұрын
I can only seem to find hub assemblies that are labeled for 4WD or 4x4 only, I have a 2WD model would the hubs be compatible for the front end?
@TRQ6 ай бұрын
+@nickwood502 The specific parts linked in the video only fit 4WD models.

Tip for anyone watching: I couldn’t figure out how everyone was squeezing their impact driver behind the wheel to get those caliper bolts off…then it dawned on me! Turn the wheel to give yourself more room! So stupid that I didn’t think of it sooner but just in case this may help someone.
