Helpful hint: Get a big cardboard box/lid and draw a picture of the door. Then, as you follow this video, spear holes into it in the appropriate places for each screw and bolt you remove. Put each screw and bolt into the correct holes in your drawing of the door as you remove them. This way, as you reassemble the parts, you'll always know which screw goes where.

Thanks for your help 1A, I was able to get the regulator out of a Camry that was heading to the scrapper and now my right front window works again! The previous owner just removed the old one and used a couple of screws to hold the window up; thankfully nothing was broken and I am using 22 year old parts haha

Wow, I can actually hear what you're saying and the camera stays in focus! So many "how-to" videos have lousy production values. Not that I don't appreciate the effort. Anyway, kudos on the video. Now I have to go out to the car and get started. I do have one question though. My window is currently down/open and I'd like to keep it up/closed. Is there a way for me to safely keep the window in the up position? It will be temporary but I want to be certain to keep the window closed until I'm ready to fix it. Great video, but my window is stuck completely down with no power to raise it to the height to use the access holes. How do I get to the bolts if I can't raise the window? Thanks in advance

+Kreig Marzolf Thank you for checking us out. You will have to manually move the window up and down. In some cases disconnecting the power to the motor will allow for the movement, or by attempting to remove the motor from the regulator to free up the geared arm. 1aauto.com

I had this problem, I just removed the speaker and used the hole to access the bolt, I used a wrench and it was tedious but it worked.

There is no need to remove door handles, so yes your correct, I did all of my 4 doors on my camry without needing to take out door handles, it’s just unnecessary work to do

I just finished doing the driver's door window regulator and motor assembly on a '99 Camry. Yes, there's only one big electrical connector for EVERYTHING! Also, when you take the screws out of the underside of the armrest on the door panel, there seems to be only the rear two, not three. On mine, the front underside armrest trim panel area had the hole FOR the front screw. However, with a flashlight, I saw no screw OR any hole for it to go into the steel structure of the door.

My window regulator works fine, but the window came out of the clamps on the bottom rail that pushes up the window. When the window rolls up, it sticks to the top of the window frame and then falls back down inside the door. I'm thinking of gluing the window back to the clamps on the bottom rail with some urethane. Anyone have any thoughts?

Remove all the bolts that hold the window regulator to the door. Wiggle the regulator free from the door. The window should now come down. You will then need to remove the 2 window bolts using a 10 mill socket and ratchet and/or a ratcheting wrench. Move the window around until you get it into a position that these 2 bolts can be accessed.

Great video! I have a question that you may be able to help me with. I drive a 2010 Toyota Rav4 and when I was powering my window, I heard something metallic sounding fall downward inside of my door.
