THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO HELP. YEARS AGO I HAD TO REPLACE A LOW BEAM HEADLAMP ON MY 1997 GMC SIERRA TRUCK, THE LAMP IN FRONT OF THE BATTERY. THE DEALER SAID I WOULD HAVE TO TAKE OUT THE BATTERY AND MONKEY AROUND TO GET THE BULB OUT OF THERE WHICH I DID. SO TODAY I HAD TO REPLACE THE HEADLAMP ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND AS I WAS LOOKING ONLINE ON HOW TO DO IT, YOUR DIRECTIONS WERE A WHOLE LOT BETTER. I DID JUST LIKE YOU SAID, BUT I DIDN'T HAVE A 5MM RATCHET SO I USED A SMALL CRESCENT WRENCH ON ONE SIDE AND PLIERS ON THE OTHER. IT WORKED GREAT. THANK YOU---THANK YOU---THANK YOU!!!

I watched another video that looked fairly easy to replace the bulbs. But that video was made for replacing the headlight assembly. This Video is 1000% better and easier to replace just the bulb. Seems I should be able to replace the entire assembly as my lenses are all clouded. Thanks for this instruction video.

What would be hanging up keeping mine from easily pulling out as this one did ? Great video, just can't see why mine is hanging up. Seems to be something in the middle of the light housing .

i was just about to start this project and found out a previous owner had rounded out the top of the stud to remove the headlight. can you please link me to the part on your website ( the threaded 5mm bolt) so i can order a replacement.

My truck is a 94 Chevy pickup and the right front headlamp or bulb just went out !!! Do I take mine out from under the hood or just like you did in this video ? And mine appears to be the low beam bulb because the high beam works on both sides !!!!

+Brandon Vincent Thank you for the question. In order to remove it, the bolt must be drilled out and extracted using an extraction bit. Once it is removed, the bolt can be replaced.

is it possible for head/tail light bulbs to cause a short when on and make the engine lack power or decelerate at high speeds with lights on?

Sounds like an alternator or belt issue. I also had a problem with my positive battery cable being heavily corroded at the FAR end, far away from the battery. That caused all sorts of problems and dealer couldn't even figure it out.

This doesn't help much for someone who has a 1989 GMC Sierra. Mine has the individual sealed beam headlights and not the composite style shown in your video.
