With BA/BF/FG you DON'T need to buy the genuine parts listed for the BA/BF/FG, you can just buy the EF/EL/AU pulleys, like YOU did, exactly the same units. I would have changed the drive belt also.

BTW... It should be a thread fixer on pulley`s bolt from manufacturer. Is there any chance to break the bolt during this replacing, or it`s strong enough? Also, do we need to add any thread fixer (Loctite, etc...) with new pulley installation to prevent self- unscrewing, please? Thank you

Thanks Scotty. My belt busted and I've got a new one to go in tomorrow. You make it look easy but I'm sure I'll struggle a bit. Nice and clear, thank you.

Thanks again mate. It was easy after I watched you do it. I'm trying to find a vid on lower control arm replacement.

Great vid mate. Just an FYI, those funny looking situations on the tensioner pulley are just bits of rubber from the belt that have built up over time. You can chip them off with your fingernail. Still no harm in changing it though, it's obviously been in there a while for it to build up like that.

I had an idler pulley on my old XR6T that was so fucked it sounded like someone was shaking a bag of nuts under the bonnet every time it ran.
@GOKHANDILEK5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. I would have changed the whole tensioner pulley as the spring gets weaker over time. It seems to move up and down a lot.

great video! helped alot! i noticed on mine, there was no seal on the upper tensioner pulley? i put the washer and the rubber grommet inside the tensioner with the washer facing the radiatior end. will it matter i dont have the seal???
@cooliovids92144 жыл бұрын
i called up ford, apparently its just an oring facing the engine side, so the idler pulley has the black rubber inside it, and then the oring touching the engine side.

Good video. Do you know why some falcons have single thermo fan and others twin?
@wobblysauce5 жыл бұрын
One for the car and temp other for the AC.
@vlt9psi5 жыл бұрын
Yeah seems they simplified it and made it one fan but far out its loud. The twins are almost silent compared to this single.
@Pendaws5 жыл бұрын
More than likely Ford got a deal on Single Fan units and went for as CHEAP as possible but the single one still works well. The double motors used to get full of road grime and carbon anyway.
