great how to! Nothing superfluous, no annoying music, no vulfaity. Straight, to the point and easy to follow.

The shop was going to charge me $215 just for the part and $90 for labor. I can get an OEM quality part for $105 and do it myself in like 5 mins. Thank you for this video

That always feels good to save that kind of money and they didn't have your car tied up for the day. Thanks for watching.

very good video when i replace mine the clip to the pack was on the bottom. so i put it on the same way. does that make any difference? i noticed also that the wires on the coil were different too. most diagrams show the number 5 cylinder wire in the middle on the bottom but the coil with the clip on top has the number 5 cylinder wire on the first connector on the bottom so i am confused and i do have a miss from the number 4 cylinder hmm

I've been wanting to replace the wiring harness. A couple of my connectors had broke and everywhere I've looked they don't sell the complete harness

I have the same model car and was wondering how you tested the coil pack to see if it needed replacement?
@lastmoto7774 жыл бұрын
I didn't . I just knew that is what it was. but here is an article about testing the coil pack. easyautodiagnostics.com/ford/3.0L-3.8L/how-to-test-the-coil-pack-1 If your mustang is running a little rough, has lost power, getting worse fuel mileage, or missing it will probably be plugs, wires or your ignition coil pack. This would be a pretty common problem with the vehicle at this age. Best of luck with it.

@@lastmoto777 My car is cranking but not turning over. I've checked the battery, the fuel pump, the fuel filter, and changed out the spark plugs. I was able to start it once after I changed the fuel filter, and once more after I changed the spark plugs. But it is still just cranking. I'm trying to find other things to test.

@@Lahe11 I am sure you have fixed the problem by now, but was it your Crankshaft Sensor?

Solemn Pharaoh that happened to me I replaces the crank sensor and nothing changed, but the coil pack was replaced and starting working fine

Good video, was your mustang shaking in the beginning as soon as you would turn it on & then stop hesitating after 30 seconds ?
@lastmoto7775 жыл бұрын
Thanks, and the Mustang would run rough when first started and miss under load and lower RPMs. After I changed the the coil it felt like a new car again! The difference in performance was really noticable

Did you happen to loss some power as well?
@MrAnimeShippudenRbrn3 жыл бұрын
Bit of a long shot, but my 04 v6 just started doing this exact thing you described. Any word on if the ignition coil was the solution?
@cruzanity74783 жыл бұрын
@@MrAnimeShippudenRbrn I changed the ignition coil, it kept doing it. My ac clutch was bad as well. I replaced that & helped a lot. Turns out I had a lose motor mount bolt..either way I replaced all mounts (2 motor & a transmission one”.still did it but very little. I did a tune up with spark plugs & wires (have lifetime warranty on wires from Autozone) and no more hesitation. My spark plugs needed replacement after only 5k miles. the cats are pretty much clogged at this point & there’s an exhaust leak on the famous passenger side header. I’m guessing this is the reason for them to go out so quickly. Morale of the story, start off with whatever you feel is cheaper , I’d check the spark plugs first, then spark plug wires (most have lifetime warranty if you bought them at your local parts store). If not, there’s a chance it could be your coil.

It is just a blues backing track to jam or practice to in the key of G. I thought it would make a good bumper track.

Mine is bucking at me and hesitation to get off start at times and shimming a bit at 30 to 45 at times
@lastmoto7774 жыл бұрын
Its probably your wires plugs or coil pack. On my car it was the coil pack. My Mustang also missed and bucked. If you have replaced these already then it is wired wrong. google a wiring diagram and check it out. Best of luck with it.

@@lastmoto777 did you have any codes? I have no codes so I'm assuming it's a very minor miss....leading me to believe coil is fine and spark plugs are the issue and/or wires
