This one time... my hood pistons failed on my Ford, and it fell on me... i caught it with my elbow without it hitting me in the head. Well, the part of my elbow i caught it with was my funny bone. I stood up after the hard hit and then passed out... I think from a nervous system shock. I call it getting Jackie Channed. No one saw it. I just woke up on the ground facing the sky. I was ok. Lol

Do you have any leads for parts for these type of resto mods in general not only motor parts which is vital but in general thanks!
@JapaneseMinitruck3 ай бұрын
honestly, I think most things can be found through carparts.com and eBay and Amazon, Rohde fab makes some cool custom parts for these trucks as well!
@bryannorris3 ай бұрын
@JapaneseMinitruck right on I have a 96 I'm more worried at the moment to keeping this joker a viability and reliable then I'll get "custom" lol

@JapaneseMinitruck than you man!
@JapaneseMinitruck3 ай бұрын
@bryannorris I understand that, usually they're pretty reliable trucks, though! I've never had the VG, but if you have a KA they are awesome engines!
@bryannorris3 ай бұрын
@JapaneseMinitruck I am most familiar with the k. A as well, it is a performance engine by default. They stuck in a truck. My dad had an e83 When it still said, Nissan and Dotson on the tailgate, LOL then I had a 86 with a 5 speed manual gearbox, as well, now I have a 96 All 3, with the KA engine and yeah, I hear nothing but good thing about them and of course, experientially, nothing but good things I just wish they stuck with a 5 speed. In this 96, that's the only bummer. Lol If I haven't yet I'll make sure I sub.And of course, like your videos, I do love these little trucks!

Does it come with instructions how to hook up the fans ? Do u have to modify anything on the radiator or mount just like the original ?
@JapaneseMinitruck4 ай бұрын
The radiator should just drop right in place, and if you buy fans, they should show you what wires go where!

Pleaseee pleaseeeee do a tutorial on how to do the intake I’ve been wanting to do mine but can’t seem to find a good tutorial/part video!
@JapaneseMinitruck Жыл бұрын
I definitely plan too!! It probably won't be until later this year unfortunately, but I plan to make these type of vids to show people like me trying to find videos on how to do them!!😅😂

Thx for the video !! Where did u get the radiator and fan kit ?? I want to get it for my 97 hardbody
@JapaneseMinitruck5 ай бұрын
dude, unfortunately right after I made this video they sold a couple and then they jacked the price way way high so I had to remove the link unfortunately it's been a while since and I don't remember the original company. You can get an aluminum radiator on eBay for like 100 bucks I believe, and then some good generic fans for it!

Hey man, I have a 96 Nissan pickup 2wd and I have a ticking noise that I don’t know where it’s coming from. How did you know it was time to change your timing chain
@JapaneseMinitruck Жыл бұрын
Most the time of you have a ticking noise it's usually your lifter which means it needs oil or new oil! So make sure to check that first, I only knew I needed a timing chain in this case because I took the valve cover off and the time in Chain super loose with the guides missing.
@lilmoehamie9562 Жыл бұрын
@@JapaneseMinitruck okay thanks for the tip! Gonna do that oil change soon, it’s been a while lol

do you know the part #'s for the 240sx intake manifold swap or which model year is best and what you need to complete this?
@JapaneseMinitruck Жыл бұрын
I had found my intake manifold used, but it'll be a few months before I come out with a video on everything for the 240SX intake manifold, I'm tying up a couple other small loose ends on my truck first eventually I will have a video though!

Hey buddy love the videos! Got 1 question I’m doing the timing chain service & im on the last few steps of tear down. Does the harmonic balancer need to be at TDC before I drop the oil pump? Or does it need to be to the true toming mark of 10degrees
@JapaneseMinitruck Жыл бұрын
damn, I thought I had possibly have gone over that in the video, I believe I set my engine to top dead center !

If you didn't have to make the video and just went for it, how many hours would you say you can accomplish this job in? You make it look simple... lol
@JapaneseMinitruck2 ай бұрын
it's honestly reall straight forward! it could be done in 2-3 hours easily it's just waiting for the gasket maker to dry after, it doesn't hurt to pull the oil pan to pull the old guides out either! but for the most part everything goes back together the same way it comes apart! i'd say it's worth giving a shot!
@williamsillas46432 ай бұрын
@@JapaneseMinitruck I noticed in your part 2 video, you used a laptop computer to set the timing. Is that necessary to accomplish this job?
@JapaneseMinitruck2 ай бұрын
no, not at all! The computer was because I was on an aftermarket ECU and I had to tell the computer where my timing was at!
