12 mm Allen socket goes inside the oil filter spindle and a few counter clockwise twists will release it

12mm allen wrench removes the tube holding the cooler in. No messed up threads.

What do you mean? Is there a nut holding it in or?

@@miguelpoky2 after removing oil filter, inside of threaded tube is a hexagonal hole meant for installing and removing the tube. Insert a 12mm allen wrench and loosen and remove the tube. The cooler will then come down, just pull and wiggle it out.

1randyful thanks for the info on the size wrench needed. I’m doing this repair now. I’m getting oil in coolant, but no coolant in oil. Fingers crossed.

Can anyone help me I was replacing my oil pan and that piece that holds the cooler on won't screw onto 2 new oil pans I have bought, the part numbers match for the 3.5 engine but that piece won't screw on
