I found a unexpected leak on my son’s 4runner and watching your video gave me the knowledge and tips I needed to tackle this job, took me about 2 hours, your instructions were right on point! Only needed about a gallon and a quarter to refill even after I burped the system for about 15 minutes running Thanks

Why did you put yellow coolant into and then when the video cuts back looks like you used the red coolant like what was in the over flow bottle,....... no one noticed that?

I have about a 3” crack in mine. I can access fairy easy. I’m going to attempt to fix it with some high temp JB weld before doing a full replacement. Great video!

Great video, very helpful! How significant is the ATF fluid loss? Asking because for a 2005 4runner, which does not have an ATF dipstick, I understand that getting the right ATF fluid level topped up is not something you can do by yourself.

You can check the level just under the car and at the right operating temp so you need an obd2 app either on phone or a seperate device

Thanks. How’d you access the lower 12mm bolt head to hold in place while removing 13mm lower nut?

Started and ended video with front grill off. Would be nice to know how to remove/reinstall since that makes the job WAY EASIER. Otherwise, great instructions. Question: 2003 4runner with 250K miles. Runs great. Replacing rad due to seepage at plastic u-joint connector to rad. Does it need a total flush first? Don't know when last owner flushed it. If flush recommended, do it with old rad on vehicle, or new one?

So my heat doesn’t work in my 05 4Runner v6, will this affect the process of getting the air out of the hoses ?

Check your blender. Those go out sometimes. Cheap fix.
