My 02 has drum brakes on the back

My 2002 has compound rear brakes the drum brakes are used for the ebrake and then the regular pads are used for normal operation. First time I’ve seen both in one.

Ok. I see.. the emergency brake handle pulls all the way up and doesn't really hold well at all. ; but when i look at the pads, they look alright. Is it because the e-brake is different from the regular brakes, right? So, if i take that little rubber plug out and turn that little adjuster in there , can i tighten the e- brake to make it more effective? Also, i think i need to clean and lubricate everything because sometimes after driving, it smells like ive been driving around with the brakes on. Maybe something's hanging up? ; not disengaging correctly? (2001 solara) Thank you for doing these videos. - Jesse

Except you skipped over showing the process of cleaning the mating surface.

They replaced the wheel bearing assembly. That's why the the mating surface looks new because it is new.
