I have 2 motor bikes I just got a deal on . 1 schwinn cruiser 22 inch wheels 80cc .. and a huffy cruiser. They both needed brakes .. and huffy 80cc needed a coil and front brakes . The schwinn needed brakes and throttle cable was sticking.. so thanks . I learned everything from your and 1 other video on idle air adjusting and throttle cable adjusting and how to install the new cable . I just did front and rear brakes on schwinn with new calipers today .. very easy

+James Willingham I is also a good idea to add a weee bit of "non petroleum" based grease tall over that white grip housing where the cable end goes in to the grip for a nice free flowing twist and quick return when you release it Also tell you buddies, brother anyone when and if they ride it DO NOT twist it like you are riding a CR-250 it will break the plastic throttle quickly Once your throttle stops rotation that's it.... you will NOT go faster by twisting it harder !!! Trust me on that one , I had my first throttle 2 days before I broke it because I never greased or filed the edges and I twisted it like a madman trying to go faster!! . My second throttle assembly has the same plastic parts as the first.. is going on 6 years. A petroleum based grease WILL break down the strength of the plastic. Also the reason I used grease is because I rode my bike so often in the summer and the constant twisting wore the plastic down , a dab of NON petroleum grease eliminated all that problem completely ..just stay out of the sand ...Sand is not your friend

I took mine apart, but the pin in the middle, where you still a whole broke off. And they're was some wire left over inside the throttle handle, you think I can still fix it, Master?

I'm having a hell of a time with my build. I'm trying new mags and I had to use spacers on the axle spindle to get the wheel strait. Had to order a U bolt mounting bracket because the bottom tube on the bike was to fat. Had to file down the clutch arm to clear the seat post tube. Drilled a hole in the handle bars for the throttle assembly because of this pin. I still have to take my wheel off and flip the gear. My expansion exhaust wont fit. I never had so much trouble building these bikes 10 years ago. This ones a hard build

Everybody listen up! You pull the tooth out of an old automobile fuse, and super glue it as a stopper right where the cam meets the housing. Boom! Fits perfectly, add a rectangular piece of tape on top to keep the glue from dripping away and no more cheap cam overturning into the housing! Creates the perfect stopping point for your throttle.

Great informative video! My throttle seems to have too much cable and it's unresponsive, it won't stay seated in the housing ends, I have the adjustment pieces all the way out, still nothing. It's a 50cc 2 stroke 🚲 engine, any ideas?

If you are using stock throttle & stock carb, might need a new cable

might be, many things can cause that. Bad spark plug, bad wire, spark boot, magneto coil...etc

+Liam Mckay and to see if you have got it right just take the carb off and look into the intake or outtake to see if that black cylinder is moving up and down when you pull the trottle

The throttle grip assembly in my kit was junk. I was thinking it didn't look like a good design as I was installing it. I rode the bike four times and it failed as I predicted.

@@HughesMotorized i though that too but there no piece that suppose to jam into the adjuster i had to replace the cables once already and neither had that piece so what i did was use electrical tape and wrap around the carb and throttle adjuster area.

After having someone work on my gas bike, the throttle cable visibly moves as i throttle and release.. Also i was told my carb float was stuck open cause it was dumping gas... i hit it with a mallet and it stopped. Still doesnt fix why my throttle is WFO even tho im not touching it. FUUUUUUUUCK. I think i need a new throttle assembly, and my carb needs adjusting. Im going to learn to do it myself, im so sick of getting burned by Joe KNowitall ...

3:38 seconds it shows the pin on the throttle assembly. The pin goes into the hole drilled into the handlebar keeping the throttle assembly from moving on bars
