You don't mention the trouble Is it ice built up on evaporator? Can we use any Samsung thermistor as long as temperature vs resistance is according to the chart you have mentioned before?

What are the resistance values for 25C, 3C, and -18C when they are new? and what would be a "not working" resistance value?

There are a lot of thermistor s located in different places Ambient thermistor, defrost thermistor, evaporator thermistor and so on Are they interchangeable?

My Samsung freezer is totally dead...the fridge works fine. Tried all the resets, checking coils, etc. Nothing helps. The Flex zone wire harness is broken, but up until the freezer stopped working, the deli drawer or Flex Zone drawer was cool enough for cheese, etc. The fridge is 3° and the freezer is 14°. This Samsung RF31MESBSR fridge has been a headacge from the beginning. The ice maker always had issues, totally freezing up. Any other ideas why this freezer is dead?

If the defrost sensor fails, the evaporator coil will not going through the automatic defrost cycle properly and the freezer will not cool properly.

I used my oscillating saw, made 2 parallel cuts about 1 inch long in the direction of wire in my case looking at the front of the fridge, the cuts are to the right. the thermoplastic/vinyl liner peels off like rubber and returns to original position later. I spliced the wires, taped them with electrical tape, snapped the original cover back into place and my fridge went back to normal. It would have been a 2K waste if I had to throw away my fridge..
