Really appreciate this detailed video and the impala series. I’m working on my winter beater 2008 impala I’ve had for 12 years and the key gets stuck in the ignition and the gear shift won’t get out of park without the bypass mechanism on both so I have the new harness I’m going to do this job maybe tomorrow. my question is what is the purpose of putting the car into neutral and putting back into park and removing key when removing the console since I have to use the bypasses buttons, just was wondering. thanks in advance!
