How to Replace Spark Plugs on Ski-Doo ACE Engine

How to change out the plugs on SkiDoo Ace. In this case, it's an ACE 600.

I miss the 90's when 2 rubber fasteners and a hinge held the hood on and you could be on top of the plugs in 20 seconds with a wrench

Yup way way easier than my cat. Fuel sending unit, tank, rad hoses, seats, all hood plastics, airbox, upper frame, and steering column all have to come out. So def gonna sell mine and go skidoo.

All that to get to the plugs, how does that work at -40 F in the middle of nowhere. Some engineers need to be horse whipped for this. I’m about to buy a 600 tundra, if I have to do all this to get to the plugs, I’m not getting it. Glad I saw this first.

Question for you. Did you index the spark plugs?

Indexing isn’t required on the ACE engine. If you have an ETEC, indexing is necessary for proper combustion.

Dont ever buy an arctic cat 4 stroke. 6 hour job. Im gonna sell mine just for that reason.
