Bravo job well done I can appreciate the lighting that you used to do the job most people that describe this job had poor lighting and I could barely understand what they were saying you on the other hand did the job just right

I’ve changed a few of these starters on my 2003 and 2004 Frontiers before seeing your video. Wish I’d seen this first!

I have a leak as well. Tried oil stop leak. Still leaks...appears to be front l lower end
@realdealGod Жыл бұрын
@@enlightenthis3749 did you try the Lucas brand? Usually if it doesn’t work it’s because you’re leak is too big.
@enlightenthis3749 Жыл бұрын
@@realdealGod I have not tried the Lucas brand, but I will after next oil change. The leak has seemed to slow down a bit, I'm not sure if it has anything to do with colder temperatures. I live close to the northern border with Canada.

Pretty useful video bro. How did you find the positive or negative wire?

Thank you. I’m not sure which wire you are referring to

What did you remove to get to it? I can't get to mine like that. Maybe because mine is manual transmission 4x4?
@realdealGod7 күн бұрын
@@boxcarbandit2098 most likely that’s why. Everything I did is shown in the video.
@rayjimenez3265 Жыл бұрын
Yous looks like you removed some linkages to get to it. Mine was difficult not as easy as yours. Thank you.

If it's 4x4 you have to drop axle
@Jason-xg6jz Жыл бұрын
I have successfully removed(and replaced) 2 from my 4x4 frontier (V6 3.3L) without removing axle, but takes a lot of time, have to basically flip the starter around 180° before it will come out /down through the suspension, around/over the drive axle. Just in case someone needs to remove starter without having time or tools to remove drive axle. Huge pain, but worthy.
@sethmurray457722 күн бұрын
@@Jason-xg6jz Thanks! I would not attempted on my 4x4 Frontier today without having read your comment. It took me about 10 trys to get flipped around the right way to get through, but absolutely did not have to drop the axle. Easier than I had feared! (still not fun though).
@sethmurray457722 күн бұрын
It was not necessary on mine, but I did have to rotate it a number of times to figure out how to slide it out. Have not tried to put back in yet.
