Hi Vlad, I swap SZL (to used one) becaue of option for vibration and only insert CAFD is needed. SZL was ajusted, no adaptation was need but I did it to be sure that everthing will work as expected. But anyway thanks for you effort there and you're making priceless job! THX

Great tutorial. This video is just the answer to my question: Do I need to code after replacing SZL. Vladimir, when I click Detect CAFD button, the latest file for my F10 is for 2013. But my car's I Step version is 16-03. The SZL is a preowned one and was peoduced in 2011. Should I select the latest 2013 file, or I must use something later than 2016? If that's the case, what should I do to get CAFD files later than 2016. My pszdata is v. 4.46.21, esys 3.30, with Launcher pro 2.81

Awesome video. For the "Detect CAF for SWE" part you've choosen the file that corresponds to the IStep version recorded in the ZGW. The new SZL you've put in might have a different firmware version to that of the rest of the car as it wasn't flashed at the same time. Is there a way to see individual firmware versions of different ECUs, or do you always just choose the file that corresponds to what istep version most of the rest of the car has?

This is by far the most informative video I've seen on these SZL modules. I replaced mine and the people from Bimmergeek Protool tried to code mine remotely and said I have a faulty unit because the steering angle sensor angle is 1440⁰ and they can't calibrate it but when I observe the steering wheel movement it tells you the speed the wheel is rotating at but not the correct angle, just the "substitute value" (I noticed the same value in your video before you calibrated) and I think it isn't faulty they just didn't do it correctly. What are your thoughts?

I’d try to recode it first and then initialise via ista Ista makes it properly. Multi scanners not.

Добрый вечер, Владимир ! Проблема такова, на f30, поменяли рулевую рейку, закодировали, но она не проходит адаптацию (отсутствует параметр Смещение прямолинейного движения по энерции). Также одновременно был заменен подрулевой блок управления ( не кодировали, так как мастер сказал что в f30, нет блока szl, а датчик положения рулевого колеса находится на самой рейке, развал и положение рулевого колеса в норме). Что подскажете, есть ли в подрулевом блоке датчик положения рулевого колеса (szl), и как это может влиять на адаптацию рулевой рейки? Если вы сталкивались с такой проблемой, с нетерпением жду Вашего совета!)

Рейки дело такое, что нудно совпадение чуток не номер в номер. Из очень много разных и не все физически подходят (много разных ревизий) Если ISTA+ не дает сделать инициализацию то дело плохо. Пахнет тем, что не правильная рейка (или там до этого был например моторчик поменян а он и есть сам ЭБУ EPS для рейки)

It was new one But used one will work also. Esys can adapt almost all used ECUs (exceptions are present. For example only esys in not enough to replace used KOMBI, DDE, CAS, EGS and some others)

Steering angle sensor is a part of SZL ecu and cannot be replaced on all models separately. In case of SZL replacement (even in E series) follow the same principle. But you will need ncs expert to code your E90 (esys is for F and G series)

All safety functions should be restored properly, not coded out. So replace sensors if needed and check the wiring

​@@BimDocI replaced the airbags, took them to the master without installing the impact sensors, the master canceled the impact sensors (with software). the vehicle no longer recognizes its own impact sensors. The vehicle does not charge the 330e plug-in hybrid 12v battery because the safety system is not working properly. I haven't been able to drive the car for 3 months. I don't want to take it back to the master as much as possible.

Добрый день. Подскажите заменили блок дсц в ф01 2009 г . Закодировал все . Ошибок нет . Cafd загрузил последний из списка . Сейчас при движении ругается на датчик давления в главном тормозном цилиндре . Показания по нем от 0.2 до 0.8 бар при отпущенной педали . Может ли это быть из за неправильно загруженного cafd ?

I will try to connect now - hope this works 😅 EDIT: just checked using INPA (v5xx) but unfortunately i couldn't connect. I'll research more because I'm thinking some of the communication lines used in the e-series vehicles should be the same unless BMW just built everything from the ground up for the Fxx vehicle

Подскажите пожалуйста как прошить szl старой прошивкой (родной) . Машина 2004год не проходит инициализацию активной рейки. Блок рейки не видит угол szl , в инпе смотришь , все меняется. Если выбрать другую прошивку winkfp пишет error 501.

Very nice and informative video! No point in fixing a cable, you can find a whole used SZL unit from Poland for 20Eur :) I’ve got 2016 F30 with these "tap once" BMW style automatic stalks. It is over the year now and I cannot get used to them. I find it a complete pain in the Arse to use them. When I want to blink a turn signal a little longer for like 5-6 times the second push on the lever cancels the turn signal entirely WTF! Another situation is I want to cancel blinking - push a lever and I find blinking to the oposite direction! So called "automatic" rain sensor turn-on button is also an equally bad idea. How many times I find myself like an idiot turning on the automatic rain sensor :) So I am looking forward to retrofitting a "normal" stalks in my F30 :) Thanks for listening! Cheers!

I have successfully replaced stalks unit from 2018 F30. Calibration by ISTA wasn't necessary, only FDL coding in ESys 1. FEM_BODY, 3075 LceFuSiConfuguration 02 -> Funktionen -> UNBELEGT behind FS_AL = ACTIVE 2. LIN_VARIANTE_SZL = szl_aic -> szl_r_aic

На данном кузове в отличии от Ф10 модуля SZL уже отдельно не видно. Он кодируется вместе с модулем BDC.
