@sempa3124 жыл бұрын
What type of oil do you soak them in? For how long? Do you dry them or leave wet when installing? Thank you! This would help so much
@kingdombarbershop19008 жыл бұрын
that clutch not gonna last for long , you should have had the plates soaked in engine oil prior installing

How about a new seal for the ,,side cover“? And you also should get a new clutch cable when you change your clutch... And you have to take the oil Out of the oil Tank by remove the 2nd screw...

I have a question what kind of oil do you use for the clutch
@dillonnobert56559 жыл бұрын
are you replacing the clutch because of the recall? my ltz is having coolant problems. when the quad is off the coolant is low but when i have it running it starts to fill up and my overheat light comes on. fan still comes on. i heard its a blocked coolant passage from the clutch cover. is this a video to fix the problem?
@WorldMechanics9 жыл бұрын
Dillon Nobert I had to replace the clutch because it started slipping when it was hot. However, I had another problem similar to yours. Mine was loosing coolant all the time so I thought that it was the head gasket. I installed new head gasket and it still kept losing coolant then I took the right engine cover off. The one that I take off in the video. The gasket that was on the cover has two seals that prevent coolant leaking in the oil so I ordered the gasket for the right cover and that fixed my problem. I hope that helps!

Just replaced clutch watching this video..put everything back together and the clutch has no spring in lever...i unhooked clutch cable from the little post on engine and the little post just spins..any advice
@dillonnobert56559 жыл бұрын
OK so I took off the oil filter cover and I it was full of oil probably a full cup then I took of the clutch case cover on the right side like in the video and that whole case full of oil and I'm guessing all the coolant that leaking is also in there does look a little yellow. Would the gaskets be the problem and should I replace everything that you replaced in the video ? Thanks
@WorldMechanics9 жыл бұрын
Dillon Nobert Most likely is the case cover gasket. This will be the cheapest fix. In this case you will need to replace it. You do not need to replace the clutch. Unless it needs it.What year is your Suzuki, I will try to find the part. I got mine on ebay. It cost me less than $20.
@dillonnobert56559 жыл бұрын

Mine also is missing the spacer morgan goines is talking about. you mention it at 5:12 and 5:49 - 6:01.Also, I bought a PDF repair manual for the bike and there is no spacer on the diagram. my quad is year 2003. Another thing, the one narrower plate was the 7th of the 8 plates when I took it out instead of the first. and they had one of the 7 wider plates in first and that plate was shaved flat on the medial side facing the motor. so im guessing someone before i bought it did this wrong not noticing one was narrower. the narrow plate does appear in my manuals diagram but no spacer.

The video is good but you should really update it and suggest the plates are soaked in oil before instal or at least dipped in oil. My son watched your video and wasted not only his time but the clutch plates because they slipped and are burnt now.

I was gonna put my new clutch in tomorrow right when it got delivered just pull it out and put it in, i didnt know they had to be dipped, thanks

+BJ Carter are you getting spark?
@metal-wardentertainment4607 жыл бұрын
Reshim the valves. I bet if you try to get it to TDC you won't feel any compression. Check valve clearance and make sure they have clearance. If you see one under .002" it needs to have a valve job. Once shimmed correctly it will start.

when i put my atv in gear the bike starts to move while holding the clutch. do i need new clutch disk
@Jake-ug2mf8 жыл бұрын
Probably not, it sounds like you just need to adjust your clutch cable so it fully disengages while the lever is pulled.
@metal-wardentertainment4607 жыл бұрын
loosen the cable all the way and mark where the arm/lever is on the engine when fully released... When resetting it back into your clutch handle, make sure you adjust it to where when released the arm/lever on engine is at same mark.

High temp silicone, use the blue or red. black on parts containing oil. Makee sure everything is clean of debris and make sure to re-torque everything back to specs in a cross pattern so you don't warp anything.
