My engine has also quite a bit of fly rost on top of it so I am not always sure about where the parts are located that I need. Not exactly. 2GM has two, one on the cylinder head (back of engine) and the other on the cylinder block (left, above the dipstick)

Where did you find the sealing gasket and washer? Did they come with the anode? If so, who did you purchase it from? I ordered the anode, but it arrived without the gasket and washer unfortunately.

Personally, I check it every engine service (100 hrs or annually, whichever comes first)

My dealer says that I don't need to change thed washer and plate every time. Only the anode What are your experience with that.

Depends on the washer condition I suppose!, but I always fit a new gasket.
