How to Replace the Front Wheel Bearing Hub Assembly on a Ford Ranger or Ford Explorer 4x4

In this video I demonstrate how to replace the front wheel bearing/hub assembly on my 2001 Ford Ranger. The process is the same for many different years of the Ranger, Explorer, and Sport-Trac.

This video is great, I now have the confidence 👍 Just wanted to point out though, turning the wheels like that with the truck off may or may not introduce air bubbles into the power steering system. It sounds stupid but it happened to my 2001 and others have mentioned it elsewhere on the internet. The symptom is an alarming steering wheel shake when hitting certain bumps, eventually the air will bleed itself out, or you can expedite the process by making a lot of low speed sharp corner turns in both directions.

Does this replace the bearing also? Like, is the bearing inside the assembly or is that separate?

New bearings are in the assembly...

Yeah unless you have 2wd where the bearing is separate.
