How to replace the license plate light on a 2012 Honda Civic t

I stumbled on this site looking for a 2013 Honda Civic EX license plate bulb replacement. The weird thing is, my daughter has a 2013 Honda Civic EL (L=leather seats) and a friend has a 2013 EX. The EL has 2 bulbs for the license plate and can be replaced from the outside. The EX was like this video here; replace the 1 bulb (not 2 bulbs) from inside the trunk. Same year Honda Civic...Go figure! By the way, the 2 bulbs were replaced exactly like the 1 bulb job: Squeeze the 2 clips located on each end of the light fixture to get it out so you could get to the bulb itself. I noticed on this video he is wearing gloves. He may have mentioned why but the reason is that the oil on your hands will ruin the bulb. So, wearing gloves is a good idea...I used a pair of throw-away latex gloves. Anyway, back to the point. If you can't get to the bulb because the trunk liner, held in by, in my case, 11 black plastic grommets is in the way, you'll have to pry out the grommets (about the diameter of a nickel) with a ply bar (that's what I had laying around). I saw a video on KZbin where someone bought a tool specifically to pull out these grommets. Surprisingly, I only ruined one grommet when replacing the liner I took out to get at the bulb. Furthermore, one of the grommets had a Philips head to unscrew with a Phillips screwdriver..weird! I didn't notice it until I had all 11 grommets out. I guessed as to where it belonged, which was the center of the trunk and liner closest to the trunk latch. So you might want to take note as to which one you could take out with a Phillips head screwdriver. And last, once you take out all the grommets, the liner should basically fall out. To put the liner back in, just reverse the steps. Hope this helps Mr. Fixit!@@fixit9888
