Should be downstream, near the catalytic converter as shown in the video. The upstream is supposed to be Bank 1 Sensor1.

The video doesn't really show how to replace the upstream oxygen sensor (Bank 1 Sensor1). It just shows where it's located. It's much harder to change the upstream sensor, the socket used in this video is too long to fit in the tight space. There's a shorter socket that should fit in there, waiting for Amazon to deliver it as it's out of stock locally. I didn't found any video showing clearly how to replace it.

I just replaced my upstream O2 sensor about 3 months ago. I can tell you that it's not easy for sure! The biggest issue I had was getting the electrical connections apart. Apparently the connector is installed on a metal bracket that holds it in place. You must remove it from this bracket first before you can separate the O2 sensor connector from its matching connector. The biggest problem is, because of where it's located, you need to do all this blindly and only by feel because it's impossible to get a look at the connectors while your outstretched arms are in there trying to separate the connectors. I suggest spraying some WD-40 on the connectors to help separate the harness from the metal bracket that holds it in place. I had a lot of trouble getting this first step done because I just couldn't see what it looked like down there and really had no idea how it was supposed to be removed. Coupled with the fact that it was stuck on the metal bracket because of age and road dirt, I couldn't get it to budge and I struggled with it for almost an hour before I finally figured out how to get it apart. Getting the male and female connectors separated wasn't so bad once you get the connectors off of the metal bracket. The process of removing the actually O2 sensor was a little tricky, but if you have the right O2 sensor socket, it's not too difficult using the right combination of extensions bars and ratchets. But due to its location and placement behind the engine, it's one of those simple jobs that becomes way more difficult because you're basically doing everything by feel. I'm sure the next time I have to do it, it will go much quicker because now I know what needs to be done, but doing it that first time is a real PITA!

@@El_Diablo_LI I agree with you as have just replaced mine too...did you find that the male and female connector doesnt lock together and there is movement? Also after fitting the new sensor, the Engine Management light still comes on even after clearing the code on a OBD with a PO135....any ideas? TIA
