Excellent video! Easy to understand, even by people like myself who do not have much knowledge in car mechanics. Thank you!

do you have the parking brakes off throughout the whole process? if so then how do you stop the car from rolling forward?

Pads and rotors should be replaced as a set. 😮any two mating surfaces whether auto or not should be replaced. Would you replace a pressure plate but not the clutch disc or vice versa😊?

Two words to avoid while presenting these videos: Simple Easy These tasks are heavy and demanding. Otherwise, this is one of the more concise videos on the subject.

Is it necessary to use locktite ?
@s33therfan Жыл бұрын
You could do without it , really it is just a preference. Medium loctite is no issue to remove and I have basically been using it for years. I had a few bolts vibrate loose from other parts etc and have been using loctite ever since. Thanks for the feedback.

I have a question my front brakes just got replaced 2 months ago just a brake pads and they seem to be squealing every time I hit the brakes.. what could be causing that since I just got them replaced
@s33therfan9 ай бұрын
It could be the rotors are glazed and need surfaced or replaced even better. Also the brake material seems to affect the noise , I only use ceramic pads myself. Another possibility , might be the dust shield got bent or there has been cases of a pebble lodging between the rotor and brake pad. Hope this helps.

is it a requirement to keep an eye on the brake fluid to make sure it doesnt overflow for the rear? never done it before and am curious if thats a necessary or voluntary thing
@s33therfan10 ай бұрын
Yes , basically anytime you put on new pads and have to push the piston. Most of the time it isn't a big issue but if the reservoir had been topped of recently then some will definitely have to come out. Thanks for the feedback.

what kind of rear brake pad is best to replace on a 2013 Hyundai Sonata car?

I prefer ceramic pads. Bosch seems to make a good brake pad. Thanks for watching.
