The close-up of the clip at 1:02 was super helpful. Took me 20 minutes to remove the cover, replace the turn signal on my 2005 C240, and slide the cover back on. At first, that metal clip kept "clicking" back into place while I tried to wiggle the cover off. Try & try again = success. Thanks!

Thank you for this informative video. I am trying to help a friend repair their mirror, the housing was pulled off and I can see from your video that the securing clip was popped out of the pocket it latches into and may ever be bent. With the help of your video I will be able to get the attachment clip back in the proper location with the lip under clipped in and properly reinstall the mirror housing. Videos like yours with good close up details really help when there is a problem and this may be the first time you have attempted a repair such as this. Thanks for your time, this video has saved me a lot of time and headache.

The plug on the back of the mirror is a c34 but the mirror i purchased does not have this plug on the back it has a longer smaller 10 pin plug.. is there an adapter or something?

I have a 2003 S430 and the passenger side mirror no longer self adjusts, any idea what could be causing it? I recently got a new battery and since then those issues came on. Wonder if it's a bad fuse and where that might be located and which number controls that sort of stuff. The door soft close also is not working. Any help is appreciated. Thx

I'm trying to take the shell off a loose 2004 E320 mirror. There seems to be part of the internal casting that blocks full access to the slotted spring clip. There's no way a flat screwdriver can get it to move down and become unclipped because the force of the spring that's pushing the clip back in position is so strong you can't get it to stay unclipped.

Opps! I've pushed the mirror cover over to access the retainer clip and broke the motor mounts and hinges. Forgot about the motorized hinge. have to buy a new unit S*Tt.

i have a 2005 c230 and i replaced the entire mirror assembly. It is back working great. Just one issue, now on my dashboard it reads ..... (turn signal left mirror ) and flashes really fast on dash, when making a left turn. But the actual lights on mirror are fine. Do you no whats wrong or if there's a fix for this?

K Edwards I was looking to replace my mirror on my W163& came across your question. He has a new channel (to replace this channel as R&W , Ratches & Wrenches). Your turn signal bulbs front or rear may be out & check your wiring if you pulled something out & the bulbs are in properly. I don't know if you fixed this problem or not.

Not really. This design makes it easier to steal because the screws are on the outside of the car and are easily accessible.
