I'm trying to install Linux on the Yoga 900S-12ISK but it's not detecting the onboard storage when installing the os from the live environment. I was hoping to salvage this little guy but i might have to just recycle it :(

I think you're actually the first post-CES "coverage" of the machine... I don't understand why the review sites seem so behind on this. Any word on keyboard / trackpad feel? Have you tried a digitizer with it?

+kingkamin Hey, thanks for the response, I did do an unboxing as well but I didn't really like it, the camera wasn't really centered haha, maybe i'll post it anyways. I love the feel so far, the only complaint if any is the placement of the shift key as @viniosity mentioned. I keep hitting either "pgup" or "end" it is going to take so getting used too. I did buy the digitizer with it, model GX80K32882 I played with it a bit last night but I will really get to it today. Coming from a Yoga 2 Pro I am very happy so far. Last night i was up until midnight installing and configuring the OS. I had a issue getting the laptop to find the new SSD at first, then i just downloaded the intel rapid storage driver and booom worked perfectly. I will say, this reboots in less than 15 sec. I was installing all the drivers and doing reboots were a breeze. Let me know if you have any questions. I will post another video.

FYI you aren't using that other screwdriver set correctly. You are supposed to put the long adapter piece in first (all the way in), tighten that, then snap your bit into THAT piece. I made the same mistake.
