I own a bunch of 90s japanese cars with tight clearances, but man its always so refreshing to go back to working on my 79 Chrysler everything is so simple and easy to do.

Yeah, one of those simple pleasures! 🤣

I never comment but this is easily the best starter replacement video I've ever seen I love the classical music. Simple and to the point none of those Bells and whistles. Great job man

Thanks much, Grant. I try to make videos that I would want to watch!

Thanks for your video, it was short and to the point. I also enjoy the simplicity of the old engineering in classic vehicles.

The link says the starter is for 91-95. I guess it fits the LA 318's too?
@PracticalMechanic Жыл бұрын
Yeah, the link says 91-95, but that's the one I bought, and it fit perfectly on my 1977 Dodge w200.

Is there anything special I need to do to line up the gears? I replaced my starter yesterday and it slipped off the gear within a few seconds after turning the key.
@PracticalMechanic2 жыл бұрын
No. As long as the starter sits flush against the mounting surface, it should be good.

B terminal is for the Battery cable, the other one is for the solenoid? Not the one on the starter I guess? Also, trying to find the S terminal, or hot crank terminal, where is that one?
