The only way to remove that ice maker is to take the door off, there is no way in HE- double hockey sticks that you can take the icemaker off without removing the door 😆.

@@giftedhandsappliancerepair8467 Thanks for following up. I agree you need to remove the door but I was able to leave the draw slides attached to the door. I just lifted the door up and the door slides separated. My issue was the solenoid which is under the refrigerator. I replaced it and it works like new now. Thanks for the video and the replies!

Indeed, finding the shut off for the water can sometimes be difficult but yes the waver valve access is underneath the fridge, once you unmount it removing the water lines should be easy. Im here for any advice, you have a great day Sir!

I have a Thermador counter depth similar to the video shown for the ice maker repair. My unit clumps the ice just underneath the icemaker. I feel it may leak. can you help?

Did you ever figure this out? My ice freezes into a lump almost like the ice maker still drips water after it fills.

You don’t have to and should not remove the door

Just curious why not remove that lower door to gain easy access?

I have the same refrigerator and took your advise. I took out one screw from the door and thought there has to be a better way. Hmmm. I ended up easily removing the door and its brackets from the drawer slides. I removed the white covers (qty 4 slid out) and then it simply lifted out. Good advice Lloyd. Is this what you had in mind?

Hey everybody has there own way of doing things. If you want to take the chance and damage the appliance because you are too lazy to take the door off then that's no one's business but yours my friend, they also wouldn't make the door with screws if it wasent meant to come off. It's called APPLIANCE REPAIR! ✌️
