2024, May 21, Boise/ PHX thank you, it had been awhile since I replaced a Thermostat ; taking out the Air Filter Box certainly made it easier and I would have never thought of that. Thank you, this was a 38 min job for me and I lost about a gal of fluid. ( Recaptured and cleaned by the way ) Walmart certainly has the best price on non-diluted fluid in the USA. I bought a Stat with a Gasket already Incorporated with it, I did need to shave off with a blade what appeared to be gasket sealer from the old Stat. I have a 2004 GMC 6.0 Denali, I also have a 2010 Denali that may need this soon. I did not use gasket sealer, so far it does not seem to be leaking. I did replace all of this several years ago when i put in a new water pump.

It was taken off at 2:28 in the housing

Worthless you showed nothing about the gasket. There’s a tech bulletin. 03 uses just 0 ring 04 gasket. Sealant??
