I watched hoping for a tip on getting the diamond wheel off and I'm pretty sure you just solved my problem! Feeling a little stupid but with the shroud on there I didn't notice there was a place to put a wrench! Thanks

Hi Jeff, it's little tricky, remove front panel from shroud and you will get access. Thanks for watching and commenting!

How do u take the blade off. Am having trou me getting mine off
@MrYoucandoityourself3 жыл бұрын
Sometimes can't use the key for removing blade and I used chisel and hammer. Just lock the button to stop the blade, put the chisel to the hole in the blade and hit it with hammer. It's take time, but work well. Thanks!

trying to do this right now with a DW840, but there is not enough length on the bolt to add a spacer and still get the nut on the end!

I am buying wheels with thread and no problem with the installation.
@DCUPtoejuice4 жыл бұрын
@@MrYoucandoityourself I don't think that wheels with thread can help those of us with short bolts. Still need to add locking nut. I just got a shroud that extends too far.

I have a DW840 and I forget which way to turn it to take it off. I've been hammering away but I can't figure out which way I had screwed mine on in the beginning.

What model Dewalt are you using? I tried this Dust shroud with Chicago Electric 7" grinder, spindle thread not close to being long enough to work with diamond cup blade.

can you make the blade higher, by adjusting the screws on the springs, without adding spacer ? This is very helpful, because, my blade was too low, and I was, having, to, push down, too hard. Now, I know what to do. But because, I am using, my grinder, as a sander, I don't know that, I can use spacer. So, do you think, you could make blade closer to top of brush, by , just adjusting the spring screws, w/o , spacer ? Thank You, for good information. Much appreciated. I ordered a dust shroud off ebay, for $18, It looks like the dust buddie. I will see how it compares.

You can't adjust with that screws - only washers. Cheep dust shroud only for one job.
